Painter, Sculptor, Public figure & Ukrainian patriot, Honored Artist of Ukraine (Mariupol)
"It is better to fail in originality then to succeed in imitation", loved to quote my father.
It is from him the I inherited a passion for reading and the ability to imaginative abstract thinking.
Born on Sakhalin Island in 1952, I experienced the first stroke of creation watching father drawing a horse, trying to entertain little me.
Later on, inspired by Fernand Léger and Pablo Picasso Paintings, I found my harmony in combination and contrast realistic and surrealistic approaches in art: objects are transformed in size, and, distorted, fall "into the wrong place ". As a result, everything strange is logical, and is exactly where it should be!
My creative path is in constant searches for new techniques and ideas combined and represented in unique abstract and figurative art compositions.
Some artworks were created after 2015 & dedicated to Ukrainian revolution of Dignity and willpower of Ukrainian nation.
I welcome friends, viewers and fans all around the world to share digital version of my original works of art created in Mariupol and now are lost in fire under russian artillery attacks...
